WHAT TO EXPECT

We are looking for a Lead Dimensional Engineer to be part of our Dimensional Systems Integration (DSI) Team. The DSI team are responsible for delivering the customer-critical dimensional aspects of a finished vehicle. As a Lead Engineer, you will lead a team of Systems Integration Engineers (Front, Side, Roof, Interior, Rear, Underbody) from the early phases of product design through to the launch of the vehicle. If you are an individual with drive, keenness to learn, who enjoys working in a team to solve problems, whilst operating in a highly demanding environment, then this may be the role for you.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Lead a small team of (~5) Engineers, responsible for evaluating Dimensional Feasibility of the product design, identifying technical issues and ensuring design entitlement to deliver quality targets
  
  
• Manage technical issues, leading team with problem solving and driving issue resolution
  
  
• Lead Quality Planning and analysis for vehicle launch maturation
  
  

WHAT YOU-LL NEED:

In order to be considered for this position, you will need to have considerable experience within Dimensional Engineering in the automotive industry. We are looking for someone who has more of a Trim & Final background rather than BIW. Metrology experience within a similar role will also be beneficial, as will experience using CAD Packages such as CATIA/3DExperience)

Essential:

• Automotive background - Dimensional engineering experience in a body or vehicle assembly environment
  
  
• Can demonstrate experience in all product launch phases (virtual and delivery) and launching a new vehicle into production facilities
  
  
• Experienced in delivering the dimensional requirements of vehicle systems (Front, Side, Roof, Rear, Underbody, Interior Systems) through virtual and delivery phases of development and launch
