This surge reflects more than just numbers. It is a powerful testament to the company’s deep commitment to engage employees for volunteering for social impact across all its locations.
A strategic blueprint for impact
The company’s success in deepening and widening volunteering was no accident and was a result of a well-crafted strategic approach taken to completely redesign the volunteering approach and opportunities that blends empathy with execution.
Empowering Through Financial Literacy
The Jagruti Programme: At the heart of Tata AIA Life’s social mission is Jagruti, a flagship initiative that demystifies financial concepts for underserved communities. By educating civil society individuals on social security schemes and financial planning, employees leveraged the Jagruti programme helping people take control of their futures — one informed decision at a time.
Campaigns that spark connection and joy
Foundation Day Celebrations
Employees across locations visited orphanages and old age homes, interacting with residents, engaging them in a variety of activating which brought warmth, laughter, and companionship. These heartfelt interactions not only created lasting memories for employees but also strengthened the company’s bond with the local communities it serves.
Women’s Day Activities
Women employees led the charge by recording audiobooks and mentoring young girls from marginalised communities on leadership, communication, and problem-solving. These sessions not only empowered the young girls but also fostered solidarity and pride among Tata AIA’s women workforce.
Excellence Club Initiatives
Senior leaders from the Excellence Club stepped up as mentors, guiding youth from underserved communities through career counselling and skill-building workshops. Leaders appreciated the opportunity to interact with these talented youth and contribute towards their developmental journey, thereby creating a sense of purpose and commitment towards societal well-being.
Tata AIA Life’s volunteers embraced a wide range of activities to green the environment. This included:
- Tree Plantation Drives: Greening urban spaces, one sapling at a time.
- Beach & Lake Clean-Ups: Restoring natural beauty and protecting ecosystems.
