Amid a sea of badges listing names, companies and QR codes to make connections with just a scan, one badge stood out at the India-AI Impact Summit 2026. Not in dimension but in purpose.

In quiet, small print, it read ‘Primary Healthcare Center, Gudupalli, Kuppam’.  The badge, and the doctor wearing it, had travelled 2,200+ km from a small village in Andhra Pradesh to Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, where the summit was underway from February 16 to 20, with a testament of how AI is helping doctors improve healthcare and save lives in the village.

His was one of the many impactful stories heard at the summit’s Tata Pavillion, where the Group showcased its ambition and collective ability to architect a full-stack AI ecosystem that spans from chips to communities.

At the core of the pavillion themed ‘Accelerating India: AI-Powered Bharat - Infrastructure to Intelligence stood the AI Infrastructure Foundation zone, which highlighted foundational AI infrastructure encompassing semiconductor chip design and fabrication, high-density AI data centers, sovereign AI investments. At its core, the cloud platforms, and domain-specific AI models formed the backbone that powers AI across industries, government, and society. Together, these represented the invisible scaffolding of progress — ensuring India’s AI future is sovereign, resilient, and globally competitive.

Surrounding this core was a showcase of ‘Intelligence in Action’ — how AI is being leveraged by Tata companies across mobility, utilities, manufacturing, retail, travel, hospitality and society itself. The interconnected zones were compelling in their human dimension, from putting human safety at the centre of robotics, human experience at the centre of consumerverse or human upliftment through an AI-powered command center that can guide a primary healthcare centre in a village thousands of kilometres with a patient’s treatment.

The India-AI Impact Summit 2026 marked a defining global inflection point, transitioning India’s tryst with AI from dialogue to demonstrable impact. And weaving infrastructure with intelligence, the Tata Group demonstrated the role it is poised to play in building a more resilient, inclusive, and technologically sovereign future for India and solving uniquely Indian challenges.
