Role Purpose

As the Head Contracts at Tata 1mg, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic legal guidance and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory frameworks governing the operations of the company. You will have to assess risks and provide proactive legal support to various departments within the organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in safeguarding the company-s interests, fostering ethical practices, and facilitating sustainable growth in a dynamic and highly regulated industry landscape.Responsibilities

- Contract Management: Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of a wide range of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, partnership agreements, and licensing agreements, to safeguard the company-s interests and minimize legal exposure.

Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the healthcare industry and advise the management on compliance requirements to ensure adherence at all levels.

- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify legal risks associated with business activities and transactions and develop strategies to mitigate such risks

- Legal Advice and Support: Provide timely and accurate legal advice to various departments, including but not limited to operations, finance, HR, and marketing, to facilitate informed decision-making and minimize legal exposure.

- Policy Development: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement corporate policies and procedures that comply with legal requirements and align with industry standards and best practices.

- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, external legal counsel, regulatory authorities, and industry associations to represent the company-s interests and influence regulatory developments positively.Preferred Experience

- Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in corporate legal practice, preferably within the healthcare or related industries, with a demonstrated track record of progressively responsible roles.

- Bachelor's degree in law from a recognized institution; additional qualifications such as LL.M. or specialized certifications in corporate law, compliance, or regulatory affairs will be advantageous.

- In-depth knowledge of corporate law, contract law, intellectual property rights, regulatory compliance, with a strong understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector.

- Proven experience in providing strategic legal advice and support to senior management, with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to mentor and develop a high-performing legal team and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to diverse audiences and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the healthcare industry and advise the management on compliance requirements to ensure adherence at all levels.

- High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to upholding confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with legal and ethical standards.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines consistently.
