We want to hear your ideas, whether they are small, big, or extraordinary. From improving everyday life to reimagining industries to opening new doors in education, healthcare, sustainability, or business — the world is your playground!
What we’re looking for
Ideas that are original, meaningful, and aligned with the Tata ethos. Standout concepts have a chance to be among the few chosen to be presented to senior Tata leaders.

Warm-up Round | Tata Quiz
Preregister and unlock a 5-question warm-up round -- a quick taste of what to expect in Round 1: Tata Quiz.
This is a practice round and will have no eliminations or scores carried forward. Round 1 officially begins on 25 August 2025.

Round 1 | Tata Quiz
From Tata trivia to general knowledge, critical thinking and quant -- answer 20 multiple-choice questions in 20 minutes and put your knowledge to the test. Pro tip: quick responses fetch you bonus points.

Round 2 | Game Plan: Logical Reasoning, Critical Reasoning, Quick Reflexes
Up next is the hugely popular gamified challenge, an exciting round that will test your logical thinking, critical reasoning, and reflexes.

Round 3 | #ImagineThat Idea Pitch
Here’s your chance to showcase your idea to the Tata group. Share a two-minute video explaining your idea, why it matters, and how it will drive change. You’ll also answer three short questions on your idea.
Detailed guidelines will be shared with shortlisted candidates over email.

Idea Buddy Phase
If you’ve made it to the top 40 after Round 3 — congratulations! As one of our finalists, you will get a chance to pitch your idea to senior Tata leaders.
That’s not all! Before the finale, each finalist will be paired with an Idea Buddy from the Tata group. These early-career Tata leaders will help you polish and perfect your idea presentation for the finale.

Popular Choice Awards
Before the jury round, the top 40 ideas will be up for a people’s vote! Five ideas with the most votes will win exciting prizes.

Round 4 | Finale
Ready to take your idea to the next level? The final round of Tata Imagination Challenge 2025 is when you will present your idea to a panel of senior Tata leaders. Tell them about the problem you’re solving, the impact you’re aiming for, and how your idea aligns with your career aspirations.

End Date: 26 November 2025
Eligibility
You are eligible to participate if you:
- Are a college-going student (undergraduate or postgraduate) from any stream in any part of India
- Are currently a full-time student
- Have completed 10+2 schooling or equivalent
- Are enrolled in a regular or full-time course, undergraduate or postgraduate, in a university or college in India
- Are pursuing courses approved by AICTE or UGC or one-year management courses approved by business schools
- Your classes have begun for the current academic year
You are not eligible to participate if you:
- Have been offered admission, but your classes haven’t started
- Have enrolled in a correspondence or distance education course
- Have already graduated or completed your course
- Are not a full-time student
- Are a student on sabbatical from your current employer (non-Tata).
