The Tata group retained its position as India’s most valuable brand according to BrandFinance, the world’s leading brand valuation consultancy. The group has been on top of this list since 2018.
The group is valued at USD 31.6 billion (up 10% from 2024) according to the firm’s “India 100 2025” report. This is the first time that an Indian brand has crossed the $30 billion threshold.
Says the report: “Tata Group (brand value up 10% to USD31.6 billion) has once again secured its position as India’s most valuable brand ranked by becoming the first Indian brand to cross the USD30 billion threshold. This historic milestone underscores India’s expanding economic clout and the Tata Group’s multi-sector dominance, with strategic investments in electronics, EVs, semiconductors, AI, and renewables.”
The group also leads in the ‘Sustainability Perceptions Value (SPV)’ index, with an SPV of USD 4.3 billion. According to the report, SPV is the financial value contingent on a brand’s reputation for acting sustainably.
