Swiss-style chalets with towering windows that look out over Dal Lake and across to the mountains in Srinagar; luxury tents equipped with remote-controlled moon roofs for the stunning spectacle of the night sky in Bandhavgarh; or the royal experience in a raja’s Art Deco home in Jaipur. These are just some of the experiences on offer at IHCL’s Tree of Life’s many properties across India.
In November 2024, IHCL added a boutique leisure offering to its diverse portfolio by acquiring a 55% stake in the operating company for Tree of Life, strengthening its partnership with the Ambuja Neotia Group. According to Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, the timing was right to expand the IHCL’s brandscape and address emerging formats in India’s fast-evolving hospitality landscape. “This acquisition aligns with IHCL’s pioneering ethos of creating destinations and building and scaling new hospitality formats,” he said, adding, “Recognising the growing demand for experiential leisure, IHCL is excited to onboard the Tree of Life brand and scale it to 100 properties by 2030.”
Tree of Life offers travellers a host of experiences. From wellness and spa getaways, convenient bizcations at well-equipped resorts, active holidays in the mountains, opportunities to soak in the great outdoors, or immerse yourself in culture — there’s something for everyone.
