Invictas is a general management business simulation game on InsideIIM, introduced by TAS – the Tata group’s flagship leadership programme. The competition is open to first-year students of 17 B-school campuses from where TAS usually recruits (see eligibility criteria below).
In Invictas, the participant is placed right at the centre of a simulated business environment to navigate the high-stakes world of launching and managing a new business project within the Tata group.
They will act as managers, understand the interplay of different functions, and take business decisions. Participants are expected to apply and demonstrate their business acumen and leadership skills to make the project a commercial success.

Competition Structure
- Registration Phase
Participants fill a detailed form designed to help us know them better. - Simulation Round
Participants step into the shoes of a Governor – managing two cities with competing interests and a finite set of resources. Every decision shapes trust, stability, and growth of the two cities. Balancing diverse stakeholder interests, they must navigate trade-offs that compound over time. - Leadership Interaction
Shortlisted candidates get to interact with a panel of senior Tata leaders for a chance to win Invictas.
Who can participate?
- The competition is open only to first-year students of the 17 TAS campuses (see list below).
- Students who have received a final admit from the flagship programmes of the 17 TAS campuses are eligible to take part in the competition.
- Students who are on the waitlist of the flagship programmes of the 17 TAS campuses are also eligible to participate in the simulation round. However, their final candidature would be contingent on their admission to the flagship programmes of those campuses as on June 5, 2026
- Invictas is an individual participation competition
- The TAS Office reserves the right to disqualify any participant for violation of any rule at any stage of the competition.
