WHAT TO EXPECT

Join JLR's Assisted & Automated Driving (AAD) Calibration team and play a crucial role in shaping the future of autonomous driving. As an ADAS Calibration Engineer, you will be responsible for the performance and calibration tuning of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) within JLR.

In this role, you will be integrated into an agile product squad, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver specific ADAS features. Your work will encompass developing requirements, control systems, software design, and calibration processes for both existing and future ADAS systems. This involves utilizing new technologies to enhance the customer experience and progressing towards effortless and engaging autonomous driving.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Calibrate next-generation ADAS software using prototype vehicles, test rigs, and virtual environments.

  • Ensure compliance with stringent global regulations and standards.

  • Calibrate and verify systems and software for a range of autonomy levels from SAE Level 0 to Level 3, focusing on Cruising, Active Safety, Parking, and Vision domains.

  • Utilize calibration test tools, such as logging equipment, Hardware-in-the-Loop rigs, and test automation tools.

  • Apply dynamic and static calibration techniques, design experiments, and analyse test data.



WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience developing or calibrating ADAS feature systems or software in an automotive context.

  • Knowledge of automotive software, vehicle networks, diagnostics, ECUs, and electronics principles.

  • Understanding of quality and robustness analysis and standards such as FMEA, P-Diagrams, noise factor analysis, and data analysis techniques.

  • Experience in system and software-level issue investigations, problem-solving, and reporting tools (e.g., Six Sigma, 8D, Fault Tree Analysis).

  • Ability to independently solve complex technical problems using structured approaches and root cause analysis.
