• Designs, creates, and maintains PostgreSQL databases

• Deep knowledge in Oracle to PostgreSQL migration

• Ensures that assignments are performed in accordance with database administration guidelines, standards and procedures for database development, implementation, testing, and migration

• Identify potential issues, data issues in the database to solve them early

• Maintain backups and perform disaster recovery in case a disaster destroys the database

• Performs database analysis, design, development, reporting, security support, and performance monitoring and tuning

• Schedule consistent maintenance on the server

• Give best practice guidance to the development team

• Develop automation technologies to accelerate the process of data loading

• Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery and replication solutions and best practices

• Ensure data integrity
