Ms George has a distinguished and global track record in sustainable investments of USD12 billion across more than 50 countries. She is co-founder and CEO of Prosperete, a growth equity fund for Emerging Markets. Ms George has played key leadership roles with Caisse de Dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), Canada’s second largest pension fund manager. She built and led CDPQ’s office in India. Subsequently, Ms George was CDPQ’s Executive Vice President and Head of all Emerging Markets. Ms George was EVP and Deputy Head of CDPQ covering all geographies outside Canada. Prior to CDPQ, Ms George spent twenty-two years with the World Bank Group leading both public and private sector investments in infrastructure across various geographies. She was the Sr. Director heading the Energy, Oil and Gas and Mining global practice for the World Bank Group from 2014 to 2016. She was both Global Infrastructure Co-Head and APAC Head for Infrastructure and Natural Resources at the International Finance Corporation.

Ms George is a member of the Indo-Canadian Business Chambers and was President between 2020 to 2022. Ms George is currently on the Boards of First Solar, USA, and Piramal Enterprises Limited, India, as an Independent Director. Ms George is part of the Advisory Council of the Berkeley Labs India Energy and Climate Center at the University of California and on the Chandrakanta Kesavan Center for Energy Transition and Climate at IIT, Kanpur. In recognition of her work in sustainability, Ms George has been awarded Honorary Doctorate degrees (LLD) from Huron University and Concordia University, Canada.
