VSNL adds signalling capacity in Asia

Videsh Sanchar Nigam (VSNL) today said it has added two signalling transfer points (STP) to its network to improve quality of connectivity for mobile phone operators in Asia.

The new STPs will reduce the points of failure and enable Asian mobile operators to locally connect and use the network to transport roaming and SMS traffic throughout the globe, VSNL informed the Bombay Stock exchange.

At present, VSNL provides suite of mobile services to more than 630 mobile operators in over 225 countries.
