VSNL to buy DIL for Rs 75 cr

Videsh Sanchar Nigam (VSNL), part of the Tata Group, has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire internet service provider Direct Internet (DIL) and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Primus Telecommunications India (PTIL), for Rs 75 crore. "The completion of the transaction is subject to a number of conditions precedent and is expected to be over in the next few weeks," VSNL informed the BSE.
