Voltas: centre stage in Bahrain

Voltas takes up the high-value, high-visibility Bahrain City Centre

Voltas's Electrical and Mechanical Division has undertaken the complete electro-mechanical works for the Bahrain City Centre. This mega-project will have a number of shock-and-awe features, including the 20-screen Cineco Cinema, the Middle East's largest; over 350 tenant outlets; and a 54,000 sq ft family entertainment centre titled Magic Planet. It will also be home to the largest indoor water park in the Middle East, covering 135,000 sq ft and providing a temperature-controlled aquatic experience all year round.

There will also be 30 international multi-cuisine restaurants, Bahrain's first Carrefour hypermarket, 6,000 covered car parking spaces, and two hotels with 700 hotel rooms directly linked to the mall.

The project is expected to transform the retail environment of Bahrain, and establish a benchmark for the regional market, adding up to a significant rise in its profile. Such an elevation in name recognition and brand equity can be expected for Voltas as well, as a direct result of successful completion of this highly prestigious project.
