Voltas is merging its two subsidiaries — Virat Investment Company and Voltas Systems — with itself, the company said in a notice to the Bombay Stock Exchange. The Voltas board, which met on Monday, approved the merger of the two companies with effect from April 1. The merger is subject to the necessary approvals including that of the Bombay High Court.
