adds new production bay to cope with increasing demands

Ground breaking ceremony for an additional sixth bay
was performed at TRF at its Jamshedpur works by it managing
director, SL Deoras, today. TRF, in view of the increasing
expenditure on infrastructure sector in the country,
believes that there is a large requirement for its equipment
and systems. TRF envisages supplying such equipment
to its valued customers across the country and overseas.
To meet the demand for the growth in infrastructure
demand, TRF has decided to expand its manufacturing
facility at it Jamshedpur works. The new bay, added
to meet this end, will add about 1600 sq metres of production
space. The proposed structure is expected to be completed
by mid-May 2008. The bay will be constructed with pre-fabricated
structures, which will be supplied by Tata BlueScope
Steel.
Speaking on the occasion, at the ceremony attended
by a large number of employees, Deoras said that TRF
aspires to make larger growth plans. This, he said,
was imperative for the prosperity of the company and
all its stakeholders. RC Nandrajog, executive director,
said that in view of the positive indications for infrastructure
growth we must target to enhance our production and
profitability. RK Rahi, general secretary, TRF Workers'
Labour Union, assured that the employees would make
all efforts towards the manifold growth of the company
and expressed the hope that soon it would have to look
for more space for its expansion.
