Trent
inducted into the balanced scorecard hall of fame

Trent
Ltd, was inducted into the Balanced Scorecard Hall Of
Fame in 2005. Trent is only the 2nd Indian company after
Tata Motors to receive this prestigious honour. Trent
joins 58 other member organisations of the Hall of Fame.
The BSC implementation at Trent, championed by the managing
director, Noel Tata, and co-owned by the senior management
team has been instrumental in driving significant growth
in its profitability, turnover, number of stores, and
customer satisfaction levels.
The Hall of Fame award was received
on behalf of Trent by K V S Seshasai, Head - IT and
corporate quality at a ceremony in Kuala Lumpur. The
award was handed over by Dr Robert Kaplan, Marvin Bower
Professor of Leadership Development, Harvard Business
School, and Creator of the Balanced Scorecard.
Recipients of the Balanced Scorecard
Hall of Fame award are best-practice exemplars of the
five principles of a Strategy-Focused Organisation as
defined by Drs Robert S Kaplan and David P Norton, creators
of the Balanced Scorecard and Strategy-Focused Organisation
concepts. Hall of Fame members are personally selected
by Drs Kaplan and Norton.
