the lifestyle store of the Tatas in Delhi that opened with a
bang, showcased its hot and happening collection for the
season amidst the city’s glitterati at the Westside Mall in
New Delhi on Wednesday, August 13, 2002 to mark the launch of
the lifestyle store. Renowned choreographer Nandini and the
FTV team choreographed the fashion show. And French DJ, Charles
Neuz who plays at most of Mumbai's ‘happening’ places like Indigo, Olive and Athena was specially flown in to
rock the crowd.
The
launch party took off with champagne in hand and euphoric
Delhiites
turned to the mesmerising bevy of beauties on the ramp that
flaunted the latest styles of Westside’s Autumn/Winter
collection 2002 as emcee Mansi Scott kept the crowd cheering. The
party was captured on the FTV camera and will be aired on FTV
soon.
Models
sashayed down the ramp in Westside’s club wear animal
print theme sizzling outfits and next came the work wear range
for women on the move. The casual / denim wear looked
irresistible in the latest light breathable fabrics, smart
capris and light denims. The ethnic wear saw salwar
kameezes in black, awesome and absolutely trendy this
season. The designer wear sequence saw creations straight
from the Lakme India Fashion Week by well-known designers
like Wendell Rodricks, Anshu Arora Sen, Jatin Kochhar and
Shantanu and Nikhil in chic cuts in contemporary styles. All
these will be available at the store at affordable prices. The
last but not the least was Westside’s Black & Red Club
Wear, a must-have to flaunt at any happening
party.
The
models have stepped down the Westside ramp, but the excitement
of shopping for Westside style that has just entered
the city continues…
