Kuala Lumpur gets the first ‘exclusive’ store

Titan Industries, the world’s 5th largest integrated watch manufacturer, launched its first exclusive Titan boutique in South East Asia at Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur. The exclusive Titan boutique carries close to 350 watch designs which would appeal to the young Malaysian consumers in the age group of 16–35 years.

In his opening remarks on the momentous event, Bhaskar Bhat, managing director, Titan Industries, said, “The opening of this exclusive store in Kuala Lumpur marks the entry of Titan Industries in South East Asia as a retailer. Apart from the jewellery foray in the United States of America, the investment we’ve put in Malaysia is by far the biggest. We are confident that the markets will resoundingly respond to our brand and our offering.”

Mr Bhat added, “Malaysia was selected essentially for it’s young, trendy and fashionable consumer. The consumer lifestyle in Malaysia, especially in Kuala Lumpur, is exciting and fast paced, yet conscientious about value. While our designs are a delight to the young consumer, our prices are light on the wallet. We plan to have four boutiques in Kuala Lumpur by the end of year 2008. We hope to have a store in every major South East Asian city by 2009.”
