Titan Edge wins Innovation of India Award 2008

Titan Industries, India's largest manufacturer of watches, has announced that it has won "Innovation for India award 2008" for the design and development of its ultra-slim movement watch, Titan Edge.

Marico Innovation Foundation, which was instituted to fuel innovations in India, has architected the awards. There were close to 206 entries in both business and social spaces. A distinguished jury panel, consisting of eminent leaders from the Indian industry, evaluated the entries based on the criteria of uniqueness of the innovation, the impact of the innovation on the organisation, environment and the leverage of resources.

Speaking on the occasion Bhaskar Bhat, managing director, Titan Industries said, "Innovation is the central force that differentiates a business from others. We see the award conferred as recognition of our commitment towards setting industry benchmarks. Titan Edge is the slimmest watch in the universe, and with this Titan has reinforced its commitment in combining the best designs with the most innovative technology.
