Titan Industries (watches division) bags the Golden Peacock Eco-Innovation Award

Titan Industries (watches division) has bagged the Golden Peacock Eco-Innovation Award for the year 2007 for its innovative work on elimination of hazardous tri-chloroethylene used in the cleaning of horological components at it works in Hosur.

The award, instituted by Institute of Director (IOD) in association with World Environment foundation (WEF) New Delhi, was given away on June 9, 2007 by Ola Ullstem, former prime minister of Swedan and Dr Oliver Giscards Esataing, former chairman, Insead Business School (France), in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, in the presence of Dr Madhav Mehra, president of WEF, New Delhi.
