Titan
wins Reader's Digest Trusted Brand Platinum Award
May 4, 2007
Titan Industries
has won the prestigious Reader's Digest Trusted Brand
Platinum Award for the watch category. Ambika Soni,
honorable minister of tourism & culture presented
the award to Ajoy Chawla, business head, Titan, at the
mega event organised by Reader's Digest at ITC Grand
Maratha, Mumbai on May 4, 2007.
Reader's Digest Trusted Brand awards are given based
on the research done by A C Nielsen. Consumers were
asked to nominate their most "trusted brand"
among various categories and were asked to assign a
score for each brand based on six core qualities, namely
trustworthiness, credibility of image, quality, value
and how well each brand understands consumers' needs.
The results of the survey indicate consumer preferences.
Speaking on the occasion, Chawla said: "We see
the award conferred as a recognition of our commitment
towards setting industry benchmarks of quality and customer
satisfaction in all our endeavors. It is a confirmation
that our shared vision and a sense of purpose and direction
continues to navigate us on the path to ultimate success
- and be No 1 in the chosen business. This achievement
is certainly a source of inspiration for all of us to
further heighten our levels of performance and maintain
our growth trajectory. Winning this award twice consecutively
is indeed a proud achievement for Titan."
Reader's Digest Trusted Brand awards are given in two
categories - Gold and Platinum. The Gold Trusted Brand
award goes to brands that score well above their competitors,
while the Platinum Trusted Brand award is given for
truly outstanding achievement and goes to the brand
that has scored at least double that of their nearest
competitor.
