launches new range

Titan Industries on Thursday
launched its new range of products titled 'Titan Heritage
Collection'. Present in nine distinct styles, the unique
range of watches is inspired by India's rich architectural
heritage and the watches are priced between Rs3,750
and Rs8,000.
Unveiling the new watches in
the presence of musical maestros Taufiq Qureshi and
Rahul Sharma, Titan Industries managing director Bhaskar
Bhat said the heritage collection had been designed
by Abhijit Bansod and had nine themes inspired by Konark,
Ajanta, Taj Mahal, Jantar Mantar and other Indian masterpieces.
These watches would be available at exclusive 'World
of Titan' stores, he added.
Titan, which controls over 70
per cent of the organised retail watch market in India,
plans to expand its retail network by adding at least
60 new 'World of Titan' stores in the current financial
year to take the total number of outlets to 285. The
company also hopes to see its turnover growing by over
50 per cent during the current fiscal to reach Rs3,200
crore. It reported a turnover of Rs2,136 crore last
fiscal.
According to Bhat, Titan was
also planning to expand globally. "Currently Titan
is present in 31 countries and we will soon be entering
Pakistan and Indonesia. We are also planning to export
10-lakh watches by the end of this fiscal."
