Tanishq
targets 50% y-o-y growth

Targeting a
50% year-on-year growth from the current 35%, Tanishq
has scaled its marketing efforts while lining up exclusive
collections to be launched in first quarter of 2006-07.
"After our recent launch of 'Colours of Royalty'
collection in diamond, ruby, emerald and sapphire, we
will launch an exclusive ruby collection in April 2006
followed by another launch in the next quarter,"
company head marketer V Govindraj said.
It has earmarked a large
investment for media campaigns and promotional event
for these collections. As a start, the company this
year has designed the crowns for the Miss India beauty
pageant 2006. "Earlier we were just sponsors of
the Miss India contest but this year we have designed
these crowns to promote our jewellery collections on
a larger platform," he said.
