The Tinplate Company of India won awards in various categories at the annual session of CII(ER) held on April 12, 2006, at Taj Bengal, Kolkata.

Y C Deveshwar, president, CII, handed over the first prize to TCIL for 'Sustained Level of High Overall Productivity' to K N Mishra, GM (Works). In the Safety Health and Environment (SHE) Category, TCIL was awarded the 'Certificate of Appreciation' which was handed to T K Ghosh, vice president (Corporate). Since a number of years past TCIL has been receiving awards for its human resource development efforts and this year too it was awarded 'Certificate of Appreciation for Commendable Effort' in human resource development, which was received by V P Sitaraman, CDM (HRD).
