University of California honours TCS with distinguished
corporate partner award

Tata
Consultancy Services has received the first annual Distinguished
Corporate Partner award from the Bourns College of Engineering
at The University of California, Riverside (UCR). The
award recognises TCS' support to advance superior technology,
research and service to the university and local community.
In selecting TCS as the winner,
the research faculty at University of California, Riverside,
considered several key criteria including: TCS' efforts
in fostering innovative research through active collaborative
projects with faculty; providing opportunities for student
scholarships, internships, recruitment and mentoring;
advancing growth of new technologies and competitiveness
by demonstrating outstanding commitment and dedication
to the vision, mission, and goals of Bourns College
and the university.
"TCS has a long history
of investing in and working with various leading universities
in the United States and is committed to partnering
with academia around the world. We value the innovative
research insights and responsiveness that our academic
partners provide customers as part of our co-innovation
network. TCS and UCR have a rich tradition of collaborating
on leading technology research projects in the areas
of data management, computer security, and networking,"
said K Ananth Krishnan, chief technology officer, Tata
Consultancy Services.
