TCS to tie up with Microsoft for RFID solutions

Services (TCS) has announced its plans to tie up with
Microsoft Corporation to deliver RFID (radio frequency
identification) solutions to global companies.
The company has launched an initiative to develop RFID
solutions built on Microsoft BizTalk RFID to help companies
simplify business processes, innovate more effectively,
drive business efficiencies and enable deeper customer
satisfaction.
"TCS has implemented RFID solutions for clients
globally, bringing in efficiencies to their business
processes and providing business value through operational
improvements," said TCS North America president
Surya Kant. "Our extensive expertise and experience
in Microsoft .NET technology is utilised to offer innovative
RFID solutions based on Microsoft technologies and applications."
It offers solutions and services that cover the full
spectrum of RFID deployment including business consulting,
architecture design, radio frequency equipment selection
and installation, software development and implementation,
systems integration, and maintenance. TCS serves a wide
variety of industries spanning retail, manufacturing,
transportation and logistics, to safety, security and
healthcare. TCS focuses on leveraging RFID technology
to develop process improvements and elimination of customer's
pain areas.

RFID customers," said Microsoft Connected Systems
Division senior product manager Steve Sloan. "BizTalk
RFID combined with TCS solutions delivers the Connected
