The doyen of the Indian IT industry, Dr F C Kohli, has been conferred another honour – the lifetime achievement award by The Economic Times, as part of its awards for corporate excellence programme.

TCS’s former deputy chairman was instrumental in building the company and guiding it to the zenith it has achieved today. Be it the propagation of computerisation in India at a time when no-one realised its potential or bringing the benefits of IT to India’s rural masses through his dream project – the adult literacy programme, Dr Kohli has been a visionary and a pioneer.

It is an honour to be associated with the man who inspired generations of youngsters and led India into the IT revolution.
