TCS wins business excellence award

The Tata Consultancy Services on Thursday won the CII-Exim Bank award for business excellence. The award is given every year for achievement of business excellence as a measure of organisational competitiveness. The Haridwar unit of the Bharat Heavy Electronic won the CII-Exim Bank prize in the manufacturing category. The awards were given at CII's 14th Quality Summit in Bangalore, which was attended by more than thousand delegates from across different sectors.

The award was given by Karnataka Major and Medium Industries Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu in presence of CII President R Seshasayee, Exim Bank Executive Director S R Rao and former CII chairman and CII Institute of Quality Chairman K N Shenoy. Seshasayee said that the companies which won the awards were showing the way to others.
