July  2, 2004

July 2, 2004 was a memorable day, when the Grand Master Key of the Cyber Tower was handed over to Business Parks of Mauritius Limited in the presence of the Honourable Prime Minister of Mauritius, Mr Paul Berenger, the Indian High Commissioner to Mauritius and a host of other dignitaries. TCE Consulting Engineers' role as project management consultants for this prestigious assignment came in for appreciation.

A part of the prestigious Ebene CyberCity project, the Cyber Tower is a fully air-conditioned intelligent building with state-of-the-art connectivity features. The 11-storied Cyber Tower, completed in a period of only 18 months, has a built-up area of 42,275 sq mt, with a basement for car park. Software Technology Parks of India was the nodal agency responsible for the implementation of the project. The project which cost US $ 45 million, was partly financed from the Indian line of credit.

Earlier, while visiting the Cyber Tower, The Deputy Prime Minister of Mauritius, Mr. Pravind Jugnauth, described the project as 'very promising', and had congratulated all the agencies involved with the project. The Dy. PM wanted the private sector in Mauritius to take up such buildings.

Mr Kamal Nath, cabinet minister for Commerce & Industry remarked during his visit to the Cyber Tower 'A great Indian effort towards an even greater Indo Mauritian relationship - A master piece building.'
