Teleservices appoints Darryl Green as chief executive
officer

Tata
Teleservices Limited today announced the appointment
of Darryl Green as chief executive officer (CEO). Darryl
Green will have full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility
for the company and will provide vision and leadership
to successfully achieve the Company's goals.
Mr Green comes with wide experience
of working with international telecom majors, including
Vodafone KK, Global Crossing Japan KK, and AT&T.
Prior to his appointment in Tata
Teleservices, Mr Green was with Vodafone KK, Japan for
over three years, where, as the president and CEO, he
presided over an operation that was widely recognised
for gaining first to-market position with exciting new
services and pricing plans, increasing market share,
growing EBITDA, and achieving positive cash flow. Mr
Green also played a critical role in restructuring the
company to increase efficiency by consolidating nine
regional operating companies.
Prior to his stint with Vodafone,
Mr Green was president and CEO of Global Crossing Japan
KK, where he established the Asian Operations by building
significant customer base and overseeing the creation
of an undersea fiber optic cable system linking the
USA and Japan. He played a key role in the successful
IPO of Global Crossing, and its listing on the NYSE.
In the early part of his career,
Mr Green spent 11 years with AT&T (USA, Japan and
Hong Kong) holding various positions. His last assignment
at AT&T was with AT&T, Japan as president and
CEO. Prior to this he also held positions like managing
director - customer services, director - correspondence
relations, and manager - international business development
at AT&T.
Mr Green holds an MBA degree
from The Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire and
a graduate degree from Brigham Young University, Provo,
Utah.
