Tata
Teleservices committed as strategic partner to the
growth of Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad:
Tata Teleservices, the private basic telephone
service provider for Andhra Pradesh is committed
to partnering the Government of Andhra Pradesh
in increasing infrastructure, teledensity and
creating employment (both direct and indirect)
in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
The
company will invest an additional Rs.500 crore
in the state, over the next six months. This will
raise the company’s total investment in Andhra
Pradesh to Rs.1600 crore. The company will focus
on increasing its geographical coverage and will
introduce innovative technology to meet the changing
needs of consumers.
The
company will unveil a range of innovative customer
centric products and services in the coming months
powered by new technology, which would enable
in bringing world-class telephony to the customers’
doorstep. The company plans to shortly introduce
DSL ( Digital Subscriber Lines) – for quicker
and faster downloads, High Speed Data Lines for
Government and corporate for bulk data transfer
and is designing a Fibre Optic network that enhances
capability for better bandwidth.
Creating
capacity for the future

Tata Teleservices
currently has a customer base of over 75,000 customers.
Tata Teleservices will also expand its coverage
by installing more than 1,000 kilometers of optical
fibre cables, linking Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur,
Vizag, Nellore and Tirupathi. The company plans
to double the number of cell sites to expand its
wireless coverage area in Hyderabad and Vijayawada.
The company will also be rolling out its services
in Rajamundhry, Kakinada, Yeluru, Tirupati and
Nellore in next six months. Growth in product
