Teleservices Limited completes two years

Vijayawada:
Tata Teleservices Limited, the private basic telephone
service provider for the state of Andhra Pradesh
has completed two years of operations in the city
of Vijayawada today. This also marks the achievement
of having 75,000 customers across the State of
Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking
at a press conference here on Friday, Ajay Pandey,
COO, Tata Teleservices Limited, said the company
had created a capacity of 14,000 lines with four
cell sites and has over 7,500 subscribers in the
city of Vijayawada (need present status for cell
sites and subscribers and payphone booths- TTL).
Tata
Teleservices Limited is also planning to extend
its Netready post-paid Internet services in the
city soon, which was launched in Hyderabad on
Tuesday. The company extends all voice, data &
video transmission through its network in Vijayawada.
"The
city of Vijayawada is an important market as it
is a big commercial center and a major market
for us. We have invested significant amounts with
an aim to consistently enhance quality of services
to our customers through an efficient network
and service delivery infrastructure," Mr.
Pandey said.
The
company has made investments of over Rs 1,100
crore and plans to invest Rs 1,100 crore in the
next three years. Overall, the company plans to
invest Rs 5,000 crore during the licence period.
In the coming years, Tata Teleservices Limited
will be starting operations in the different cities
and towns of A.P.
