Tata
Teleservices on an aggressive growth path
Plans
to invest Rs. 500 crore in the next six months

Hyderabad:
Tata Teleservices,
the private basic telephone service provider for
Andhra Pradesh, will invest an additional Rs.500
crore in the state, over the next six months.
This will raise the company’s total investment
in Andhra Pradesh to Rs.1600 crore. The company
will focus on increasing its geographical coverage
and will introduce innovative technology to meet
the changing needs of consumers.
On
the occasion Mr S Ramakrishnan, managing director,
Tata Teleservices Limited said, " Tata Teleservices
has always been in the forefront of providing
quality products and services to its customers.
In the past two years we have been successful
in entering major towns in Andhra Pradesh and
have offered a range of products and services.
It is now time to focus on expanding our network
and provide innovative solutions to meet customer
expectations."
The
company will unveil a range of innovative customer
centric products and services in the coming months
powered by new technology, which would enable
in bringing world-class telephony to the customers’
doorstep. Tata Teleservices will also expand its
coverage by installing more than 1,000 kilometers
of optical fibre cables, linking Hyderabad, Vijayawada,
Guntur, Vizag, Nellore and Tirupathi. The company
plans to double the number of cell sites to expand
its wireless coverage area in Hyderabad and Vijayawada.
The company will also be rolling out its services
in Rajamundhry, Kakinada, Yeluru, Tirupati and
Nellore in next six months.
