Khera to head Tata Tele's east ops

Tata Teleservices (TTSL) today
announced the appointment of Sanjeev Khera as regional
head, east, and chief operating officer for Kolkata.
Khera has over 15 years of experience in companies
like Escotel Mobile Communications and Godrej. He would
be responsible for overseeing all TTSL's operations
in the eastern region.
"I am pleased to be moving to a role wherein I
will be part of the team that helps reshape the Indian
telecom space - both in terms of mobile telephony trends
as also in sheer numbers," Khera said.
Khera added that Tata Tele's investment and expansion
plans, backed by the strength of Tata Indicom's network,products
and services, would help it consolidate its position
as a key player in the telecom market.
TTSL, using the CDMA 3G1X technology for its wireless
network, operated in 4,300 towns across 20 circles with
over 20 million subscribers.
