Tata Teleservices plans expansion in Eastern UP

Telecom service provider, Tata Teleservices (TTSL) is planning an expansion in Uttar Pradesh (East). This would be in terms of coverage area, investment and tariff structure. Currently, Tata Teleservices has a network spread over 141 cities, which it plans to increase to 205 by March 2007. There would be a hike in investments, which is currently at Rs 500 crore since its inception 20 months back in January 2005. The company's subscribers have crossed the five-lakh mark in UP (East).

TTSL offers a range of products and tariff rates for subscribers. "It has been identified as a company offering low-cost solutions, but we have on hand a range of stylish products, feature-rich CDMA handsets branded by the very best in industry. Motorola RAZR V3c and Samsung WIDEO are in this hi-tech segment," said chief operating officer Vinod Mehra. "On the anvil are diverse tariff structures giving a range of opportunities to our subscribers. 'Get More 124' plan is one of the lowest entry tariff plans with a monthly commitment of Rs 124 and low calling rates. "Jodi Offer' offers unlimited lifetime local calls free between two Tata Indicom phones. H2m 349 and Plan 350 offer affordable call rates and also free internet access to customers," said circle head (Postpaid) Mayank Sahai.
