Tata launches prepaid wireless desktop phone

Tata Indicom has announced the launch of a prepaid wireless desktop phone - Indicom 10. Targeted at small towns and semi-urban areas, Indicom 10 is initially launched in 45 towns in Andhra Pradesh. With an activation charge of Rs 1,650, Indicom 10 is a wireless desktop phone that can be installed anywhere in the state where Tata Indicom's network coverage is available. Indicom 10 caters to the needs of the residential and business community making it a multi-purpose device, Prabhat Pani, chief operating officer, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka Circles, Tata Teleservices, stated in a press release.
