Tata Indicom pares rates

Triggerring a new price war, Tata Teleservices (TTSL) on Friday launched a new pre-paid option, 0123 Plan, under which all local calls on its network is free, while calls to its fixed wireless phones will be charged at Re 1 a minute. Tata Tele is also offering 100 per cent talk-time under the newly-launched plan. The operator will levy Rs 2 per minute for local calls to landline and other mobile phones and Rs 3 per minute for STD calls to other networks under the plan. The plan is also available with Tata Indicom's existing Rs 180 and Rs 350 recharge vouchers (RCVs), Tata Tele said in a release.
