Tata Teleservices currently
under regulator's glare over its Push-to-Talk
telephony services, on Tuesday said it has replied
to TRAI as well as Government over the queries
raised by them and is awaiting for their response
over the issue, reports PTI. "Currently the
whole product (PTT) is under review of TRAI. We
have replied to TRAI's show-cause on this and
are waiting for their input on PTT. We have given
our perspective and we had taken clearance before
launching that product from TRAI. So we have gone
back to them with our inputs over these observations
of the product".
Naresh Malhan, COO, Delhi,
Rajasthan, Tata Teleservices said. Replying to
a query on how the company has countered the charge
of breaching the national security in its reply
to TRAI, Malhan said said "that was not the
charge which was given to us, it was on the product
itself and that's what we have gone back to them
answering the details."
