Tata
Teleservices Limited (TTSL) on Tuesday said it
will cooperate to enable its brand ambassadors
Saurav Ganguly and Irfan Pathan to honour the
Participating Nations Agreement in the on-going
ICC Champions Trophy in England, reports PTI.
"TTSL will co-operate and honour the Participating
Nations Agreement which governs endorsements and
advertisements by players and we have taken necessary
steps to safeguard the interest of its two brand
ambassadors, Indian skipper Ganguly and left arm
seamer Pathan, by re-positioning the advertisements
featuring them for the duration of the ICC Champions
Trophy".
TTSL vice president Abdul Khan said in a statement
here today. The clarification from TTSL comes
a day after the game's governing body warned both
the Indian cricketers for an alleged breach of
its clause which prevents players from endorsing
products whose interests are in direct conflict
with those of the official sponsors.
