Anand Sen has been appointed vice  president, flat products (FP), Tata Steel. Prior to this, he was chief marketing and sales, FP, Kolkata. He has taken over from H. M. Nerurkar, who has been appointed vice president, Kalinganagar Project.

Mr Sen is a metallurgical engineer from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, joined Tata Steel in 1981 as a graduate trainee in the scientific services division of the company. He is also a post-graduate in management from the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata. Mr Sen has worked in various capacities in Tata Steel and has vast and rich experience in marketing and sales, including special steel.

A widely travelled man, Mr Anand Sen has authored numerous papers and articles. Mr Sen is currently a member of the board of directors of the Tinplate Company of India.
