Tata Steel appoints Partha Sengupta as Vice-President

Country's largest private sector steel manufacturer Tata Steel said it has appointed Partha Sengupta as vice president of corporate services with effect from today.

Sengupta joined Tata Steel as a graduate trainee in 1980, the company said in a statement.

In 1995, he was appointed commercial manager in the managing director's office. In April 2005, Sengupta took over as the principal executive officer in MD's office.

Additionally in 2006, he was given responsibility of the Jharkhand Steel Project.
