Steel has inaugurated a four-month residential technical training programme in
electrical jobs and masonry for residents of Seraikela Kharasawan district, at
Seraikela, Jharkhand, said a press release. The company has proposed to set up
a 12 million tonnes per annum steel plant in Jharkhand and also steel plants in
Chhattisgarh and Orissa. In view of this, Tata Steel is committed to improving
the quality of life of the people who will be displaced by the proposed greenfield
projects, by making them a part of the Tata Parivar. The
release added that the technical training programme for the residents of Seraikela
Kharasawan district has been envisaged to develop the employability of the youths
in the area. Altogether 40 youths, between 18 and 30 years, have been selected
from Ghamaria and Seraikela blocks of Seraikela Kharsawah district for training,
of whom half will undergo training in masonry, the other half being prepared for
electrical jobs. |
