Tata Steel has been ranked
among global companies in the world’s most respected
companies survey, 2003 for corporate social responsibility.
The steel major, the only Indian company to feature
in the list, bagged the 34th rank in the survey, jointly
conducted by Financial Times and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
The company has also been declared the joint third most
respected Indian company with Hindustan Lever and Telco,
a Tata Steel release said here on Sunday.
This was the sixth annual global survey of corporate
reputation, it said, adding the research drew on views
of over 1,000 CEOs across 20 countries and selected
a cross-section of fund managers, NGOs and media communicators
to show which companies were setting pace in building
‘reputational capital’.
