A newly relaid polyurethane synthetic track at the JRD Tata Sports complex was inaugurated by Tata Steel managing director B Muthuraman here on Wednesday.

Expressing satisfaction over the quality of the track, he said the track having conforming to international standards would help athletes enhance their performance and also help sports organisers to host more events. Appreciating the sports department of Tata Steel for their effort in relaying the new track, Muthuraman said Tata-Steel was committed to meet its social responsibility including encouraging sports in the country.
