Steel invests Rs 200 crore in F-Blast furnace

Tata
Steel has upgraded its F-Blast Furnace at the cost of
Rs 200 crore and in the shutdown time of 105 days. Installed
in the fifties, the scale of upgradation of the furnace
is the first of its kind in India. The furnace was successfully
blown on May 22, 2002 and is expected to reach its rated
capacity of 2,750 tonnes per day within two weeks.
