The Tata Crucible Campus Quiz is known for producing new innovations in the Crucible format to keep the audience interest levels high at all times during the quiz: starting from bandwidth quizzing to 20:20 quizzing, to pyramid quizzing. This year, students will witness yet another innovation, which will be completely new and stimulating.

Speaking on the occasion, Romit Chaterji, senior vice president, corporate affairs department, Tata Services, says, "Tata Crucible Campus Quiz, with a reputation of being the toughest quiz in India, has witnessed huge participation year-on-year. The response received has provided the impetus to extend the quiz to four new cities, thus reaching out to students in 12 cities across India. This year we will also be introducing a novel innovation which quizzing in India has not seen before."

Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2008 quizmaster Giri 'Pickbrain' Balasubramaniam, said, "Tata Crucible is undoubtedly the biggest business quizzing battle on campuses and the new format of quizzing adds a new dimension to this battle ground. The format of a quiz is the key to its success and the new format which we introduce each year is well researched. The youth always want new ideas and formats — they like being unsettled. We are confident that the new format will stimulate the young minds and also keep the audiences engaged. "
