Group HR – reorganisation

With a view to meeting the challenges facing Group Human Resources, the team is being reorganised with effect from March 1, 2004. 

Dr B. Bowonder, who recently loined TMTC as the Dean of Academics and Research will also take over as its director. All team members previously reporting to Mr Rao will now report to Dr Bowonder.

Mr Rao will now be vice-president - TAS and sourcing. The TAS and sourcing team will report to Mr Rao.

Dr Raju Mistry is welcomed as Head - Talent Management.
Mrs. Mistry will report to Mr Bimal Rath, vice president, Management Development. Dr Bowonder and Mr Rao will continue to report to Satish Pradhan.

Background note on Mrs Mistry
Prior to joining the Tata Group, Mrs Mistry was associated with Colgate Palmolive (I) Limited and was responsible for Talent Strategy. She joined Colgate in 1997, and has been with them since then. She was responsible for revamping the selection processes for management trainees, and lateral recruits. She leveraged e-recruitment and was a pioneer in launching e-recruitment for campuses as well as lateral recruits. She also has some significant achievements to her credit with respect to employer branding, potential identification, assessment and development initiatives. Mrs Mistry started her career in 1992 with Bayer as deputy manager - HR, and subsequently worked with Seimens and later with Mastech Corporation in Canada. Mrs Mistry has a Masters degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology and a Ph.D from Mumbai University. She is married to Sunil and has a daughter, Neha.
