Dr Camille Miranda Gonsalves has been appointed General Manager, Media Relations, Tata Sons Limited, with effect from January 15, 2002. She joins Tata Sons from Tata Finance Limited, where she was Manager, Brand Promotion. Prior to joining the Tata Group, she worked with Schoolnet India, Hindustan Thompson Associates, and McCann-Erickson. Dr Gonsalves holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the Ohio State University in the US, which she completed in 1994 with a dissertation on 'The Art of the Picture Book: An Interpretation of Indian Cultures'.

As General Manager, Media Relations, Dr Gonsalves will be the Group’s primary interface with the media and other external constituencies on Group-related issues. In the discharge of this responsibility, she will work closely with Vaishnavi Corporate Communications Pvt Ltd. Dr Gonsalves will report to the Group Executive Office, through Mr R. Gopalakrishnan.
