TQMS to hold western regional forum sessions on May 11

Tata Quality Management Services (TQMS), a division of Tata Sons Ltd., has taken an initiative to facilitate sharing knowledge among Tata companies by establishing regional forums across the country. The forums meet at periodic intervals and exchange information and views so as to learn through sharing for attaining levels in business excellence.

Subodh K Shah, deputy managing director, Tata Finance Ltd., is the chairperson of the western region – Mumbai zone. The forthcoming session will be held on May 11, 2001.

The programme is as follows:

1.      Chief financial officers of Tata companies will participate in the session and discuss issues related to driving improvements and achieving excellence in the finance and accounts functions.

  • Ramesh C. Nandrajog, vice-president - finance, Tata Iron and Steel Co. Ltd., has been invited to share the experience of Tata Steel in this area.

2.      TQMS had arranged a study mission to Japan in April  2001. 16 Tata executives participated in this mission.

  • A presentation by Sunil Sinha, general manager, human resources and corporate quality, Tata International. Mr. Sinha was a member of this study mission and has been assigned the responsibility of sharing the best practices from Japan, will make a presentation on key learnings from Japan

All Tata executives interested in the above subjects are invited to attend the forum meeting and participate in the discussion on the initiatives taken and planned by their respective companies.
